TALLULAH
My name is Tallulah Crooks, I’m 14 years old, and I’m from Prince Edward Island. I’m someone who has always found a lot of meaning in the things I care about, whether that’s through music, sports, or the people around me.
One thing I find especially important is making sure young people feel heard, respected, and safe, particularly when it comes to decisions and systems that affect their lives. I believe there is a difference between simply giving someone a chance to speak and truly listening to what they have to say. Young people have their own experiences, perspectives, and ideas, and I think those should have a meaningful place in conversations about their lives and their communities.
I hope to contribute to the Child and Youth Advisory Committee by bringing my own perspective while also taking the time to understand the experiences of others. I tend to put a lot of thought and feeling into what I do, and I’m not afraid to ask questions, have difficult conversations, or stand behind what I believe is important. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of something that can make a meaningful difference for young people in PEI.
